Composite analysis

VKB Tech can provide detailed FE analysis of structural and thermal components made of composite materials. Our engineers have a deep theoretical understanding of the behaviour of composites, which allows them to accurately model and interpret FE analysis results. We can model the most complex composite structures and, at the same time, fully understand the potential failure of product models.

A virtual environment allows us to subject designs to many loading scenarios, compute progressive damage, delamination and cracking. By using FE analysis the structure can be optimised to fulfill all structural requirements with minimum use of material. Today, virtual testing is indispensable if you want to decrease the number of physical tests and prototypes. VKB Tech engineers have experience verifying structures made of Fiber Reinforced Plastics (including carbon fibres, glass fibres and Kevlar fibres), thermoplastic composites and layered composites.
